Pilaster 1.20.302

A flat pilaster, 2888 mm tall, 419 mm wide and only 112 mm deep, so it sits close to the wall and suits rooms where a full or half column would take up too much space. It has a large Corinthian pilaster capital, deeply carved with acanthus leaves and corner volutes over a fluted shaft, finished at the foot with a plinth with a bold moulded top. The set is made up of Capital 1.21.002, Shaft 1.22.020 and Base 1.23.200, and each part is also sold on its own. Check the overall height against your ceiling before ordering; the shaft is the part to trim if you need it shorter.

Made in lightweight polyurethane foam, it takes paint well and won’t rot or swell in a damp room. Use Joint Adhesive 290ml (G07.S.290) or Joint Adhesive 60ml (G08.S.60) on the joints between the parts and Multipurpose Adhesive 290ml (G10.U.290) to fix it in place. Like all polyurethane decor it is decorative rather than structural: it cannot carry a ceiling, beam or any other load, so it must never stand in for a real column or post.
