A flat window jamb board, 400 mm wide, 12 mm thick and supplied in 2 m lengths. It lines the reveal of a window or door (the inside faces of the opening between the frame and the outer wall), giving a clean, smooth, paintable finish that ties in with a platband surround on the facade. At only 12 mm thick it can go over an existing reveal, and it cuts easily to width. For the moulding around the outside of the opening, see Window Frame 4.84.001 and the rest of the platband range.

Made in lightweight polyurethane foam, it won’t rot, crack or swell in the rain the way timber or sand-and-cement mouldings can, and it cuts cleanly with a fine-toothed saw. Use Multipurpose Adhesive 290ml (G10.U.290) to fix it and Joint Adhesive 290ml (G07.S.290) or Joint Adhesive 60ml (G08.S.60) on the joints. Outdoors, finish it with a good exterior masonry paint once it is fixed; the painted finish protects the surface from sun and weather.
