A moulded round base on a square plinth, 244 mm square and 108 mm high, the base of one of Gaudi’s smaller full round facade columns, with a shaft of about 1.5 m. Although we list it under entablature, it is a column part, designed to go with Entablature 4.41.301 (capital) and Entablature 4.42.301 (shaft) from the same series.

Made in lightweight polyurethane foam, it won’t rot or swell in the rain. Use Joint Adhesive 290ml (G07.S.290) or Joint Adhesive 60ml (G08.S.60) on the joints and Multipurpose Adhesive 290ml (G10.U.290) for fixing to the wall. Outdoors, finish it with a good exterior masonry paint once it is fixed; the painted finish protects the surface from sun and weather. Like all polyurethane decor it is decorative rather than structural: it cannot hold up a porch roof, canopy, balcony or any other load, so it must never stand in for a real column or post.
