Pilaster 4.20.301

A Corinthian pilaster for the outside of the house, 2669 mm tall, 417 mm wide and 151 mm deep. At only 151 mm deep it sits close to the wall, ideal for framing a front door. It has a Corinthian pilaster capital carved with acanthus leaves and a central rosette over a fluted shaft, finished at the foot with a moulded pilaster base. The set is made up of Capital 4.21.301, Shaft 4.22.301 and Base 4.23.301, and each part is also sold on its own. Check the overall height against the space before ordering; the shaft is the part to trim if you need it shorter.

Made in lightweight polyurethane foam, it won’t rot or swell in the rain the way timber can. Use Joint Adhesive 290ml (G07.S.290) or Joint Adhesive 60ml (G08.S.60) on the joints between the parts and Multipurpose Adhesive 290ml (G10.U.290) to fix it in place. Outdoors, finish it with a good exterior masonry paint once it is fixed; the painted finish protects the surface from sun and weather. Like all polyurethane decor it is decorative rather than structural: it cannot hold up a porch roof, canopy, balcony or any other load, so it must never stand in for a real column or post.
