A composite coving supplied in 2 m lengths, 32 mm down the wall and 30 mm across the ceiling. Its profile is a small stepped profile. It is a small, discreet coving for tight spaces, bathrooms, or as a slim shadow line, and it closes the join between wall and ceiling with a clean, finished line. It is the composite version of polyurethane Cornice 1.50.130, with the same profile and size, so the two can be mixed in one project. Composite is rigid, so for a curved wall or bay window use the flexible polyurethane Cornice 1.50.130(flex).
Composite coving is made from a high-density composite polymer (an extruded, polystyrene-based foam, as Gaudi describe it): rigid, very light, moisture resistant and usually cheaper than the polyurethane equivalent. It cuts cleanly with a fine-toothed saw and mitre box. Fix it with Multipurpose Adhesive 290ml (G10.U.290) along the edges that meet the wall and ceiling, and seal the mitres and joints with Joint Adhesive 60ml (G08.S.60).
