A composite skirting board supplied in 2 m lengths, 150 mm high and 15 mm deep. Its profile is a plain, flat face with a neat rebated top edge. It is a substantial skirting that suits most living rooms, hallways and bedrooms, especially with ceilings of 2.6 m or more. The same design comes in other heights: Skirting Board 6.53.803 (100 mm) and Skirting Board 6.53.805 (200 mm), so you can pick the height to suit each room while keeping the plain flat design throughout.
It is made from a high-density composite polymer (an extruded, polystyrene-based foam, as Gaudi describe it), so unlike MDF or timber it won’t swell, warp or rot when floors are mopped, which makes it a good choice for kitchens, bathrooms and utility rooms as well as living spaces. It arrives white and ready to paint, and cuts cleanly with a fine-toothed saw and mitre box for internal and external corners. Fix it to the wall with Multipurpose Adhesive 290ml (G10.U.290) and bond the mitres and joints with Joint Adhesive 60ml (G08.S.60).
