A large Corinthian column for grand entrances and facades, 652 mm wide, and about 3518 mm tall as supplied. The capital is a grand Corinthian capital, deeply carved with tiers of acanthus leaves and corner volutes. Rather than one long shaft, the fluted shaft is built from stacked sections, so Gaudi give it no fixed height: add or remove 700 mm sections to suit the building. The set is made up of Capital 4.11.302, Shaft 4.12.003, 3 × Shaft 4.12.004, Shaft 4.12.005 and Base 4.13.002, and each part is also sold on its own.

Every part is polyurethane foam: light enough to lift into place by hand, moisture resistant and delivered white, ready to paint. Bond the joints between the parts with Joint Adhesive 290ml (G07.S.290) (or Joint Adhesive 60ml (G08.S.60) for smaller jobs) and fix it in position with Multipurpose Adhesive 290ml (G10.U.290). Outdoors, finish it with a good exterior masonry paint once it is fixed; the painted finish protects the surface from sun and weather. Like all polyurethane decor it is decorative rather than structural: it cannot hold up a porch roof, canopy, balcony or any other load, so it must never stand in for a real column or post.
