An astragal ring for a half column: the moulded band that sits at the foot of the shaft, a heavier profile than the standard rings. It is 297 mm across, 147 mm deep and 45 mm thick. Being half-round, it sits flat against the wall. It is part of Column 1.10.209 and Column 1.10.210, and is sold separately for repairs, replacements or your own combination of parts.

Made in lightweight polyurethane foam, it paints well and suits damp rooms as well as dry ones. Use Joint Adhesive 290ml (G07.S.290) or Joint Adhesive 60ml (G08.S.60) on the joints and Multipurpose Adhesive 290ml (G10.U.290) for fixing to the wall or floor. Like all polyurethane decor it is decorative rather than structural: it cannot carry a ceiling, beam or any other load, so it must never stand in for a real column or post.
