Column 1.10.301

An elegant Corinthian half column, half-round in plan so it sits flat against a wall, 2725 mm tall, 299 mm wide and 148 mm deep. The capital has acanthus leaves, corner volutes and a central rosette, and sits over a slender smooth shaft; the column stands on a moulded foot on a thin plinth, raised on a panelled pedestal with a moulded cap and foot. The set is made up of Capital 1.15.010, Shaft 1.16.080, Base 1.17.900 and Pedestal 1.18.003, and each part is also sold on its own. Check the overall height against your ceiling before ordering; the shaft is the part to trim if you need it shorter.

Made in lightweight polyurethane foam, it takes paint well and won’t rot or swell in a damp room. Use Joint Adhesive 290ml (G07.S.290) or Joint Adhesive 60ml (G08.S.60) on the joints between the parts and Multipurpose Adhesive 290ml (G10.U.290) to fix it in place. Like all polyurethane decor it is decorative rather than structural: it cannot carry a ceiling, beam or any other load, so it must never stand in for a real column or post.
