Window Sill 4.82.201

A decorative window ledge (Gaudi’s name for a facade sill moulding), supplied in 2 m lengths, 94 mm high and 60 mm deep, with a stepped profile with a moulded lower edge. Run beneath a window, it gives the opening a finished base and a strong shadow line, and it pairs naturally with a platband surround on the other three sides. Close the ends neatly with Window Sill 4.82.231, the matching end piece. For a different size or weight of profile, see Window Sill 4.82.202. It dresses the facade beneath the window; it does not replace the window’s own sill or weathering, which should stay in place.

Made in lightweight polyurethane foam, it won’t rot, crack or swell in the rain the way timber or sand-and-cement mouldings can, and it cuts cleanly with a fine-toothed saw. Use Multipurpose Adhesive 290ml (G10.U.290) to fix it and Joint Adhesive 290ml (G07.S.290) or Joint Adhesive 60ml (G08.S.60) on the joints. Outdoors, finish it with a good exterior masonry paint once it is fixed; the painted finish protects the surface from sun and weather.
