Column 1.10.105

A plain Tuscan half column, half-round in plan so it sits flat against a wall, 3268 mm tall, 391 mm wide and 193 mm deep. The capital has a deep smooth neck under a square moulded abacus, and sits over a smooth shaft; the column stands on a tall base: a moulded column foot standing on a plain plinth block. The set is made up of Capital 1.15.002, Shaft 1.16.020 and Base 1.17.100, and each part is also sold on its own. Check the overall height against your ceiling before ordering; the shaft is the part to trim if you need it shorter.

Made in lightweight polyurethane foam, it takes paint well and won’t rot or swell in a damp room. Use Joint Adhesive 290ml (G07.S.290) or Joint Adhesive 60ml (G08.S.60) on the joints between the parts and Multipurpose Adhesive 290ml (G10.U.290) to fix it in place. Like all polyurethane decor it is decorative rather than structural: it cannot carry a ceiling, beam or any other load, so it must never stand in for a real column or post.
