A composite skirting board supplied in 2 m lengths, 90 mm high and 31 mm deep. Its profile is deep and softly rounded, standing well proud of the wall. It is a mid-height skirting that suits most rooms with standard ceilings. Its depth gives it a soft, substantial look at floor level and helps hide an uneven join between wall and floor.
It is made from a high-density composite polymer (an extruded, polystyrene-based foam, as Gaudi describe it), so unlike MDF or timber it won’t swell, warp or rot when floors are mopped, which makes it a good choice for kitchens, bathrooms and utility rooms as well as living spaces. Mitre the corners with a fine-toothed saw, fix it with Multipurpose Adhesive 290ml (G10.U.290) and seal the joints with Joint Adhesive 60ml (G08.S.60), then paint it to match your doors, architraves or walls.
