A composite skirting board supplied in 2 m lengths, 200 mm high and 15 mm deep. Its profile is a classic moulded top edge above a flat face divided by a fine groove. It is a tall, statement skirting for rooms with high ceilings and period homes, where a low skirting would look lost. The same design comes in other heights: Skirting Board 6.53.113 (130 mm) and Skirting Board 6.53.114 (150 mm), so you can pick the height to suit each room while keeping the classic moulded-top design throughout.
It is made from a high-density composite polymer (an extruded, polystyrene-based foam, as Gaudi describe it), so unlike MDF or timber it won’t swell, warp or rot when floors are mopped, which makes it a good choice for kitchens, bathrooms and utility rooms as well as living spaces. It arrives white and ready to paint, and cuts cleanly with a fine-toothed saw and mitre box for internal and external corners. Fix it to the wall with Multipurpose Adhesive 290ml (G10.U.290) and bond the mitres and joints with Joint Adhesive 60ml (G08.S.60).
