Entablature 4.46.201

A fluted column shaft, 1575 mm long, 198 mm wide and 99 mm deep, for one of Gaudi’s smaller facade half columns, with a shaft of about 1.5 m. It is half-round in section, so it sits flat against the wall. It can be trimmed if you need it shorter. Although we list it under entablature, it is a column part, designed to go with Entablature 4.45.201 (capital), Entablature 4.47.201 (base) and Entablature 4.47.202 (base) from the same series. It is also part of the ready-made Column 4.10.204, which stands on a pedestal corbel.

Made in lightweight polyurethane foam, it won’t rot or swell in the rain. Use Joint Adhesive 290ml (G07.S.290) or Joint Adhesive 60ml (G08.S.60) on the joints and Multipurpose Adhesive 290ml (G10.U.290) for fixing to the wall. Outdoors, finish it with a good exterior masonry paint once it is fixed; the painted finish protects the surface from sun and weather. Like all polyurethane decor it is decorative rather than structural: it cannot hold up a porch roof, canopy, balcony or any other load, so it must never stand in for a real column or post.
