A Corinthian capital carved with acanthus leaves, corner volutes and a central rosette, 262 mm wide, 208 mm high and 133 mm deep, the capital of one of Gaudi’s smaller facade half columns, with a shaft of about 1.5 m. It is half-round in plan, so it sits flat against the wall. Although we list it under entablature, it is a column part, designed to go with Entablature 4.46.301 (shaft), Entablature 4.47.301 (base) and Entablature 4.47.302 (base) from the same series. It is also part of the ready-made Column 4.10.305, which stands on a pedestal corbel.
It is polyurethane foam, supplied white and ready to paint. Join it to the other parts with Joint Adhesive 290ml (G07.S.290) or Joint Adhesive 60ml (G08.S.60) and fix it with Multipurpose Adhesive 290ml (G10.U.290). Outdoors, finish it with a good exterior masonry paint once it is fixed; the painted finish protects the surface from sun and weather. Like all polyurethane decor it is decorative rather than structural: it cannot hold up a porch roof, canopy, balcony or any other load, so it must never stand in for a real column or post.
