A facade architrave supplied in 2 m lengths, 168 mm high and 96 mm deep, with three stepped fasciae under a moulded top edge, in a deeper boxed form. Although we list it under frieze, Gaudi class it as an architrave: in a classical entablature it is the lowest band, sitting directly above the columns or the head of a door or window, with the frieze and cornice built up on top of it. On its own it also makes a strong, clean head moulding over an opening. Frieze 4.04.201 is the slimmer version of the same profile, and Frieze 4.04.232 is the matching corner piece. It works with frieze Frieze 4.03.202 from the same series.

Like the rest of Gaudi’s facade range it is polyurethane foam: light, moisture resistant and supplied white, ready to paint. Fix it to the wall with Multipurpose Adhesive 290ml (G10.U.290) and bond every joint with Joint Adhesive 290ml (G07.S.290) (or Joint Adhesive 60ml (G08.S.60) for small repairs). Outdoors, finish it with a good exterior masonry paint once it is fixed; the painted finish protects the surface from sun and weather.
