Bossage 4.86.001

A bossage (a rusticated stone block), 555 mm wide, 290 mm high and 42 mm deep, with a plain, flat face. Fixed in courses up the corners of a house as quoins, around a door or window, or across a ground floor, bossages give a rendered facade the look of dressed stone. It shares its 290 mm height with Bossage 4.86.005, so the two can alternate long and short up a corner in the classic quoin pattern.

Made in lightweight polyurethane foam, it won’t rot, crack or swell in the rain the way timber or sand-and-cement mouldings can. Fix it with Multipurpose Adhesive 290ml (G10.U.290) and use Joint Adhesive 290ml (G07.S.290) or Joint Adhesive 60ml (G08.S.60) on any joints. Outdoors, finish it with a good exterior masonry paint once it is fixed; the painted finish protects the surface from sun and weather.
