A pedestal corbel, 393 mm wide, 277 mm high and 195 mm deep, with a stepped moulded top over a cove. It is the base that lets a small column or pilaster start part-way up a wall instead of at the ground: the corbel is fixed to the facade and the column’s base stands on top of it, framing a doorway above a step or dressing an upper storey. It is part of the ready-made Column 4.10.204, and is sold separately for repairs or your own combination of parts.

Like the rest of Gaudi’s facade range it is polyurethane foam: light, moisture resistant and supplied white, ready to paint. Fix it with Multipurpose Adhesive 290ml (G10.U.290), using Joint Adhesive 290ml (G07.S.290) or Joint Adhesive 60ml (G08.S.60) wherever it butts against another piece. Outdoors, finish it with a good exterior masonry paint once it is fixed; the painted finish protects the surface from sun and weather. Like all polyurethane decor it is decorative rather than structural, so it must not be used to carry any real load.
