An exterior cornice supplied in 2 m lengths, 276 mm high and projecting 284 mm from the wall, with a stepped profile and a row of dentils (small square blocks) under the crown. It is one of Gaudi’s largest facade cornices, made to crown the top of an elevation under the eaves or along a parapet, where its deep shadow line gives a house real presence from the street. Ready-made corner pieces mean the profile never has to be mitred on site: Cornice 4.01.212 (external corner), Cornice 4.01.222 (internal corner) and Cornice 4.01.232 (short external corner). Like the rest of Gaudi’s facade range it is polyurethane foam: light enough to lift into place without heavy fixings, moisture resistant and supplied white, ready to paint. Fix it to the wall with Multipurpose Adhesive 290ml (G10.U.290) and bond every joint with Joint Adhesive 290ml (G07.S.290) (or Joint Adhesive 60ml (G08.S.60) for small repairs). Outdoors, finish it with a good exterior masonry paint once it is fixed; the painted finish protects the surface from sun and weather.
